Below are highlights from recent pieces discussing Trump’s increasing detachment from reality and the ongoing escalation of conflict in the Middle East driven by Israel’s agenda:
From Daniel Larison at Eunomia:
The president answers to the mounting economic and political fallout from his unlawful war with increasingly erratic threats:
If Iran disrupts the oil flow through the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than before.
We will also target easily destroyed sites making it nearly impossible for Iran to ever rebuild as a Nation — Death, Fire, and Fury will be unleashed — But I hope, and pray, it does not happen!
Trump instigated this crisis with reckless threats and continues to worsen the situation by escalating his rhetoric. Many analysts assume he will eventually retreat, but this overlooks his tendency to meet resistance with increased aggression. He created the standoff with Iran, and when Iran resisted his unreasonable demands, he ignited a significant war. His approach relies solely on intimidation and coercion, which, when they cease to work, he intensifies.

What explains these “Death, Fire, and Fury” warnings? What kind of individual takes pride in threatening to obliterate entire populations? One devoid of morality, empathy, and human decency—a cruel, bullying sociopath who is willing to murder.
This is nothing short of deadly insanity from America.

Over at Zeteo, a revealing article lays out evidence that “King” Trump’s mind is essentially absent, demonstrated through his own statements. The piece also touches on Israel’s deepening involvement in Lebanon. Although this reflects more chaos, it seems Israeli actions follow a strategic aim: acquiring more territory for a “greater Israel.” The article explains:
Last night in Doral, Florida, Donald Trump addressed House Republicans at their retreat and held a press conference. Though some may question the timing, based on Trump’s comments, perhaps it’s best if he is removed from control. Let’s analyze, debunk, and annotate his madness quote by quote:
To begin with, there were so many falsehoods:
“Try finding wind farms in China.”
In reality, China is the largest global wind energy producer.
“[Democrats] don’t mention [affordability] anymore because we lowered prices.”
Voters overwhelmingly disapprove of Trump’s economic management—markedly so, a new Quinnipiac survey reveals. Prices continue to climb amid Trump’s unlawful conflict in Iran.
“Almost nobody uses a mail-in ballot system like ours; no other nation in the world does.”
Numerous countries employ various forms of mail-in voting.
Iran “intended to control the Middle East.”
Currently, only Israel is actively pursuing territorial expansion in the Middle East.
“Had we not acted, they would have attacked us.”
Again, no evidence supports the claim that Iran posed any “imminent threat” to the US, and Iran was discussing a renewed nuclear deal with the administration prior to Trump’s aggressive moves.
“…the Tomahawk missile is sold and operated by other states…Iran also possesses some Tomahawks.”
Trump has continued to blame Iran for the devastating bombing of an Iranian girls’ school, which killed approximately 175 people, mostly children. Independent investigations, however, indicate the US likely carried out the strike. Videos reveal the weapon used was a Tomahawk missile—a US munition that Iran does not have.
Now for the truly ridiculous, confused, and bigoted statements:
This represents one of Trump’s recent attacks, weaponizing the term “Palestinian” as an insult—suggesting Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (who has affirmed his role includes maintaining left-wing support for Israel) sympathizes too much with the people Trump, Biden, and Schumer himself have jointly sanctioned genocidal acts against. Such conduct, if directed at any other ethnic group, would prompt congressional inquiries and sensational media attention.
And to call the “Iranian people who are quite nasty”? The very population Trump and his pro-war allies claim to be “liberating”? Rather than using language of freedom, the so-called peace advocate chooses to echo the derogatory tone used by his Israeli counterparts to describe Palestinians—resulting in deadly consequences.
Trump’s incoherent ramblings become more disturbing when recalling that one of the sunken vessels was an Iranian naval ship returning from an exercise with India, not engaged in combat. The US torpedoed it regardless, disregarding survivors and forcing Sri Lanka to mount rescue operations. If this appalling Geneva Convention violation only involved the particular ship Trump referenced, what about the others mentioned?
“All the people who died from roadside bombs. Died and are now walking around with no legs.”
Here Trump appears to confirm the existence of… zombies?
Alright grandpa, time to head home…
And finally, some illuminating moments:
This was literally Trump’s answer when a reporter asked how he could claim the war was “very complete” while his defense secretary stated “this is just the beginning.” Apparently, it’s simultaneously complete and in its early stages. Brilliant!
“Will I help [the Iranian people]? I’d like to, if they can behave, but they’ve been very menacing.”
That sound you hear is the shredding of the flimsy narrative that the US is invading Iran to liberate its people.
“No other president can do some of this shit I’m doing.”
Well, on that one, he’s not wrong!
