The US needs to help Israel harm people or else the people who are mad about being harmed might harm Israelis. It’s circular reasoning all the way through.
For decades, the US and Israel have spread death and devastation across the Middle East, generating countless survivors who harbor deep resentment and desire their removal. Then, the very presence of these resentful groups is used as justification for continued US support of Israel.
The US insists on aiding Israel in inflicting harm to prevent retaliation against Israelis. This logic endlessly loops back on itself.
When asked why America backs Israel, supporters argue it serves US interests in the Middle East.
They claim the US presence counters the harmful influence of Iran and terrorist organizations.
If probed about how Iran or these groups specifically jeopardize American interests, the response is that they pose threats to US troops deployed in the area.
If questioned why American forces don’t simply withdraw to eliminate this risk, they say leaving would mean abandoning Israel.
When asked why the US can’t forsake Israel, the usual answer is that Israel is a key American ally.
And if pressed on why Israel holds this status, the explanation circles back to its role in advancing US interests in the Middle East.
This entire reasoning chain supporting the US-Israel alliance is self-perpetuating and circular, regardless of the perspective you start from.
Supporters portray Israel as an innocent nation persistently attacked by malicious forces intent on its destruction. However, Israel is widely despised across Middle Eastern communities because the West imposed a new ethnostate atop an established civilization and has maintained it through relentless military force. The opposition only reacts to that ongoing aggression. The West actually fabricated the violence it claims to oppose.
The only defense Israel’s American advocates make without circular logic or evasion is, “The Bible says we gotta give JDAMs to Benjamin Netanyahu.” Yet justifying endless conflict on the basis that a religious text mandates military support for a country younger than Dolly Parton deserves no serious consideration.
If they spoke honestly, they’d admit that securing numerous bases and loyal allies in a fossil-fuel-rich, strategically vital region serves the US empire’s ambitions for global supremacy. Even a cursory glance at a world map reveals West Asia’s significance as the sole land bridge between three continents.
They refuse to say this openly because doing so would expose that the ongoing violence is not about defending American citizens, protecting Jews, combating terrorism, or spreading democracy, but about advancing the interests of a narrow class of oligarchs and empire architects, facilitated by fervent Jewish and Christian Zionist ideologies.
Thus, they fabricate narratives to rationalize American troop movements toward Iran and the provision of lethal weapons to Israel during the devastation of Gaza. It all reeks of deception because that’s exactly what it is.
