Once again, the United States finds itself entangled in yet another overseas conflict—unsurprisingly influenced by Benjamin Netanyahu. The Trump administration chose to engage in this unlawful war without obtaining the necessary approval from Congress, much like it did in the unauthorized conflict against Venezuela.
For decades, the American populace has consistently opposed involvement in foreign wars. A century ago, Woodrow Wilson campaigned on the promise of keeping America out of World War I. Many historians argue that his eventual decision as president to enter that war paved the way for the even deadlier Second World War. Since then, every presidential candidate has pledged to avoid war, yet once in office, new conflicts inevitably arise. What causes this pattern?
It is clear that most Americans oppose this recent war in the Middle East, yet Congress hesitates to fulfill its constitutional responsibility to halt it. Lawmakers won’t even engage in debate over our role in this cycle of destruction. Why is that?
This long-standing trend implies the presence of powerful forces continuously pushing a pro-war agenda. How is it that each administration without exception proceeds down this path? The opposite outcome rarely, if ever, occurs.
Recent revelations about the Epstein syndicate’s influence supporting Israel have shed light on possible factors, although much of the damaging evidence remains concealed due to political resistance. Is the Epstein network the primary driver behind U.S. foreign policy, or merely one among many? Fortunately, Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie continue their courageous efforts to fully expose the scale of this corruption and influence.
As American leadership increasingly aligns with the Netanyahu regime, our government mimics its ruthless, nihilistic tactics—boasting about illegal political assassinations, launching covert attacks during false peace talks, and flagrantly violating numerous laws and agreements. Such reckless actions undermine U.S. credibility and horrify the global community. For decades, the United States was respected worldwide despite acting in its own interest and sometimes exploiting others, at least maintaining a degree of restraint and decorum. Today, U.S. leadership is feared like an uncontrolled wild animal. This restraint once stemmed from our Founders’ Christian worldview, which now appears to be fading, especially among current officials.
To begin with, the Constitution assigns Congress sole authority to declare war, precisely to prevent executive overreach. Yet since 1942, this power has been circumvented through deceitful propaganda, secret funding of endless conflicts, and fabricated emergency orders. This is not governance—it is cowardice and lawlessness, far removed from the postwar ideal of international rules. What will finally end this? Running out of weapons? Financial collapse? A monetary crisis that renders the American Empire unsustainable? We now maintain around 800 military bases globally; can this truly endure?
What about the United Nations—once maligned as a communist front by Cold War hawks, many of whom evolved into neoconservatives? The UN emerged from the ruins of World War II, intended to mediate conflicts peacefully. Instead, it has been marginalized, co-opted, and rendered powerless, largely because of a structure that enables dominant nations—mainly the U.S., Britain, and their allies—to manipulate it. The Security Council’s veto power serves as a shield for impunity, especially regarding Israel’s aggressive actions toward its neighbors.
Developing countries shocked by decades of Israel’s oppressive treatment of Palestinians have long condemned this hypocrisy. UN Resolution 242, adopted in 1967 following the Six-Day War, demanded Israel’s withdrawal from occupied territories, including Gaza and the West Bank, in return for peace. Though Israel voted to accept it, adherence has been nonexistent. Palestinian homes and farms are demolished, settlements continue expanding, walls arise, and the occupation persists, all while the U.S. consistently vetoes enforcement measures. Repeated UN condemnations of Israel’s actions are regularly blocked by Washington, and often London, effectively granting Israel free rein in its ethnic cleansing campaign. Many post-World War II conflicts have involved Israeli interests—proxy wars, regime changes, and covert operations aimed at realizing the “Greater Israel” goal.
What restrains this lawless framework? Diplomacy has devolved to power prevailing over justice, with foreign nationals—often well-funded and driven by ethnic grievances—exploiting our government to settle old vendettas. How many American lives and resources have been wasted serving these false narratives?
With Venezuela subdued, Cuba now appears next, targeted due to neoconservative disdain rooted in South Florida politics. Recall the 1950s, when Meyer Lansky’s mob transformed Cuba into a corrupt casino haven. Fidel Castro’s revolution overturned that system, confiscating assets and expelling criminals. The Cuban people’s revolt against corruption played a key role in Castro’s rise. In response, the U.S. launched decades of embargoes, assassination attempts, and economic sabotage, driven by vendetta-holding elites.
This gangster-style foreign policy is not only illegal but is also bankrupting the nation both morally and financially. Trillions of dollars have been funneled into these conflicts, accumulating debt exceeding any nation’s GDP. The expansionist aspirations of “Greater Israel” continually drag the U.S. into ceaseless wars, with foreign lobbying groups effectively commanding our military as their private force.
What would Jesus do amid this? The Prince of Peace would neither endorse the starvation and killing of Gazan children, the destruction of Venezuela, nor the indiscriminate bombings and assassinations in Iran. “Thou shalt not kill” is a commandment, not a mere suggestion. This truth will endure long after campaigns encouraging disobedience fade away. Yet our leaders, captivated by donors and ideologues, betray this principle daily. Consider Chief American Warrior Pete Hegseth’s claim: “America is winning decisively, devastatingly, and without mercy.” Someone should inform his pastor. This rhetoric does not align with the teachings of our Savior.
The time has come to end this. No more illegal invasions, no more wars without constitutional approval. Allow the UN to operate as designed, free from veto abuses. Hold accountable those exploiting our government to pursue ethnic vendettas. Unless a financial collapse intervenes, only public pressure can stop this downward spiral. America First means defending our homeland, not acting as a ruthless global enforcer. If we do not reclaim sovereignty from warmongers, the future holds endless debt, death, and decline. The decision lies with us—before weapons run dry and both our credibility and sovereignty vanish entirely.
