For these sects, the key figure ceased to be Jesus, the Bible, or the Church and shifted to a new ethnostate founded by Western immigrants dependent on ongoing military violence. They dismantled two thousand years of theology and tradition, replacing it with a modern religion centered on deploying US military power to West Asia.
I’m not claiming Christianity was flawless before Christian Zionism, but it was undeniably distinct from one prioritizing military backing for the modern state of Israel as its core principle. It’s remarkably rare for this change to be acknowledged or discussed publicly.

There has been another synagogue assault, this time in Michigan, carried out by a man reportedly with family members killed by Israeli forces in Lebanon.
Drop Site’s Ryan Grim reports, “The man who rammed his explosives-laden truck into a Michigan synagogue today was named Ayman Ghazaleh, according to a source familiar with the situation. Ghazaleh posted photos overnight of his family members, including young children, who were killed in a recent Israeli attack on the town of Mashghara, Lebanon.”
