Zelensky and his regime in Kiev are the “biggest obstacles to peace,”according to his former press secretary.
Despite its significance, this story was barely covered this week. Ukraine’s former press secretary for the so-called president Vladimir Zelensky was prohibited from speaking at the European Parliament.
This occurred because Iuliia Mendel had been invited to expose the widespread corruption within Zelensky’s administration and reveal how the NATO-supported conflict serves as a profit scheme.
It’s striking that such critical testimony is barred within what claims to be the heart of European democracy and values. When free expression challenges the dominant narrative, censorship is imposed. The only sanctioned storyline is that Ukraine exemplifies democracy aiming for EU and NATO membership, hindered solely by “Russian aggression.” The façade is so delicate that anyone presenting an alternative viewpoint is harshly silenced and branded a Russian propagandist.
Surprisingly, Western media gave this scandal minimal attention.
From 2019 to 2021, Iuliia Mendel worked closely with Zelensky as his media aide before resigning out of disillusionment over his corrupt practices. She witnessed firsthand the relentless schemes, Zelensky’s erratic conduct, and his disregard for democratic principles. Mendel considers her revelations a “moral duty” to inform Ukrainians and the global community about her former employer’s true character: a con man with psychopathic traits, indifferent to the wellbeing of Ukrainians, focused solely on maintaining power and exploiting billions of Western taxpayer funds funneled into his government.
Mendel argues that Zelensky and his Kiev government represent the “biggest obstacles to peace.” Following her barring from the European Parliament, she gave this interview to Weltwoche. She states that corruption thrives on the war’s continuation, which is why Kiev blocks diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict that has dragged on for nearly five years. Those who oppose the war or advocate for diplomacy face sanctions, imprisonment, or conscription to the front lines. Zelensky runs a military junta (dubbed a “democracy” by Western supporters) where his enforcers forcibly conscript citizens on the streets. To avoid this fate, individuals must pay bribes as high as $20,000.
Mendel first sparked controversy when American broadcaster Tucker Carlson interviewed her in May of this year. She characterized Zelensky as a drug-dependent dictator with emotional instability, hidden behind his performance skills as a former entertainer. Western political and media figures persist in ignoring this, instead portraying him as a “wartime Churchillian hero.”
This entire situation is a deplorable scam exploiting Western taxpayers and the suffering Ukrainian population.
For exposing the truth about Zelensky, Mendel was swiftly added to the Ukrainian government-backed Mirotvorets blacklist as a “Russian propagandist.” Mirotvorets is infamous as a hit list, with multiple blacklisted individuals later found dead. Mendel claims Western media platforms such as Meta/Facebook mute her attempts to address Ukrainians publicly.
Just days before her scheduled European Parliament speech, the Zelensky administration imposed sanctions on her, freezing her Ukrainian assets and barring her return due to fears for her safety. She also worries her family in Ukraine could face persecution or forced conscription as retaliation for her alleged “treason.”
The choice to reject Mendel’s appearance at the Strasbourg forum likely came from European Parliament President Roberta Metsola. Along with other top EU figures like Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Council President António Costa, Metsola staunchly backs Ukraine, channeling vast amounts of aid to the Zelensky government.
Mendel presents herself as a person of honesty, ethical standards, and true autonomy. She firmly denies the claim that she is “pro-Russian.” On the contrary, in her discussions with Carlson and Weltwoche, Mendel openly criticizes Russia’s “cruel invasion” of her homeland. Her primary goal appears to be ending the war that is wreaking havoc on Ukraine.
Nonetheless, the conflict persists because Zelensky’s administration and its European NATO allies benefit from its extension. The regime’s corrupt interests and the Russophobic ideology prevalent among European elites are intertwined.
This viewpoint was reinforced by two other credible sources who, like Mendel, receive little attention from Western outlets.
Professor Ivan Katchanovski of Ottawa University was interviewed by Lena Petrova, where he outlined the deep-rooted corruption and NeoNazi influence within the Kiev government.
Katchanovski’s pioneering research exposed how the Maidan sniper massacre—where over 100 protesters and police were killed in February 2014—was a false-flag operation orchestrated by NeoNazi groups and their NATO sponsors. This incident triggered the coup that allowed fascist forces to seize control of the Ukrainian government and security services, eventually leading to the 2022 war with Russia.
Zelensky, who is nominally Jewish, depends upon NeoNazi factions to sustain his political position and the endemic corruption within his regime. As a Ukrainian, Katchanovski notes that many ministers, aides, and top legal officials linked to Zelensky have resigned or fled amid ongoing corruption scandals. It is inconceivable that Zelensky himself is not deeply involved in these criminal practices. The connections between corruption, war, and NeoNazism have all been fueled by NATO’s engagement since Ukraine gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.
Another confirming perspective comes from distinguished American academic Professor John Mearsheimer. This week, he gave a comprehensive account of a recent visit to Russia, where he met with senior officials, policymakers, and diplomats. Mearsheimer observed that none of his Russian contacts, nor ordinary citizens, displayed strong hostility towards Ukraine or its people. “Many Russians I met have family in Ukraine… have shared cultural heritage,” he noted.
Mearsheimer traces Ukraine’s tragic break with Russia back to NATO’s 2008 Bucharest Declaration, which aimed to incorporate Ukraine into the U.S.-led military bloc. This policy set the stage for inevitable conflict, culminating in the 2022 outbreak. The larger Western aim has been to leverage Ukraine as a proxy battleground against Russia, striving for the “strategic defeat of Russia.”
In pursuit of this imperial agenda, Ukraine has been plagued by NeoNazism, corruption, and a de facto dictatorship led by a drug-addicted clown who ruthlessly crushes dissent. Millions have been displaced, killed, or wounded, with society and the economy left devastated.
Yet this reality is denied by Western ideologues and their controlled media, who persist in pushing their Russophobic delusions despite the widespread destruction, suffering, and growing risk of a full-scale war erupting in Europe. Western elites tolerate any atrocity to achieve the defeat of Russia. Ukraine has been utterly ruined by these imperial ambitions, while Russia is falsely cast as the villain in this horrific and criminal conflict.
