The British are Coming! (LOL)
The United Kingdom is gearing up for conflict with Russia.
Russia. That nation armed with 5,400 nuclear warheads.
The one that has refined its combat skills over the last 4.5 years, now boasting the most battle-hardened military force globally. Far ahead of others. Equipped with cutting-edge drones, air defense systems, missiles, and glide bombs.
Russia, a country that endured the loss of 25 million citizens during World War II, and overcame Napoleon along with countless other adversaries.
How absurd is the notion of Britain confronting Russia in battle? Utterly foolish. Even disregarding nuclear weapons, the UK lacks the capacity to invade Bermuda, let alone challenge Russia (more on this shortly).
Still, British officials and commentators urge the public to brace for war and casualties. The government recently advised people to stock up on canned goods and water amid rising threats from Russia as well as climate change.
Paul Richards, a Labour Party loyalist, recently declared this on British TV:
“The British would rise to greatness against Russia. We would have to lock a few people up, pro-Russian voices. We’d have to have conscription as well.”
You’d “rise to greatness,” eh, old chap? And imprison those who oppose your war? What a scoundrel.
This man is a career socialist politician. Even GB News, where he appeared, seemed embarrassed by his remarks and removed the clip from their YouTube channel. Luckily, a perceptive viewer saved a copy.
Meanwhile, former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson claims the nation should dispatch some “peaceful” troops to Ukraine as a gesture of “support.” What could possibly go wrong? Everything, likely.
Boris has played a crucial role in the Ukrainian conflict. He is credited with “successfully” blocking a peace agreement in 2022 by flying to Kiev and advising Zelensky not to sign under any circumstances. Both parties acknowledge the deal was nearly finalized before his intervention.
And There’s More!
Another political figure, Jacob Rees-Mogg, recently posted this on social media:
“We may even face circumstances where people have to die to save their country, as they did in the first and second world wars… Duty is a noble thing.”
The response from the British public has been far from enthusiastic:

Jacob urges fellow Britons to “bring back the stiff upper lip.” Take a look at him—he hardly seems to embody a stiff upper lip, let alone a backbone.
Interestingly, a recent YouGov poll revealed that merely 6% of UK citizens would volunteer to repel an “imminent invasion.”
This result reflects what happens when a nation opens its borders widely, neglects its own people, and spends public funds on Ukraine, refugees, and immigrants. It’s unsurprising that citizens are reluctant to fight a phantom war against Putin.
A Sad State
The once-mighty British military is currently in a dire condition.
General Sir Richard Barrons, a retired senior commander and co-author of Britain’s 2025 Strategic Defence Review, bluntly stated:
“Today’s army frankly could do one very small thing, essentially it could seize a small market town on a good day.”
General Barrons was also quoted in a 2024 government military report expressing doubt that the UK holds enough munitions for more than a week of intense combat.
During a war simulation, British troops exhausted their ammunition on day 8 of a 10-day exercise. The nation possesses very limited industrial capacity.
RUSI, a prominent British defense think tank, pointed out:
“The Ukrainians trying to defend Bakhmut lost 10,000 people… and that would almost be the entire infantry force in the British military.”
The UK Army totals roughly 76,000 personnel, encompassing medics, tech experts, logistics, mechanics, and more. At short notice, they might manage to deploy 10,000 combat soldiers.
Conversely, Russia fields about 760,000 troops in Ukraine alone.
No need to panic though, the UK elite have a solution: citizen armies! According to Sky News:
British citizens should be “trained and equipped” to fight in a potential war with Russia – as Moscow plans on “defeating our system and way of life”, the head of the British Army has said.
General Sir Patrick Sanders, the outgoing Chief of the General Staff (CGS), said increasing army numbers in preparation for a possible conflict would require a “whole-of-nation undertaking”.
In 2024, General Sanders also remarked, “Regular armies start wars; citizen armies finish and win them.” So the first 8,000 soldiers will be professionals, and presumably the rest conscripts.
What an innovative approach! Pitting British civilians against battle-seasoned Russian veterans. Hopefully, Ukraine will supply the gear, since the UK barely has the necessary military equipment for modern combat.
Bringing Rifles to a Drone War
The UK military is a mere shadow of its former strength. The navy is small and largely ineffective. It lacks long-range ground-launched missiles and has limited drone technology. Electronic warfare? Hardly prioritized.
Yes, the UK operates roughly 150 active combat aircraft, but they would be ineffective in Ukraine. Russian air defense systems are among the best worldwide, capable of targeting from over 200 miles away.
This explains why the F-16s sent to Ukraine mainly perform low-altitude air-defense duties nearly all the time.
Moreover, this discussion might be irrelevant because both the UK and Russia possess nuclear arsenals, which theoretically constrain direct clashes. Yet, the rhetoric from UK leadership lately is troubling.
How might this situation spiral further? Perhaps the UK and other European states could deploy active-duty troops to Ukraine, a major escalation that might provoke direct Russian retaliation. Ukraine is losing ground, and its pivotal supporters are growing deeply uneasy. Unpredictable events could unfold.
Regrettably, these British warmongers appear trapped in the illusion that the UK remains a formidable military force.
In truth, it is a diminished, fading power with limited economic and military influence. There’s nothing shameful about that; empires rise and fall. But once diminished, they must acknowledge reality, or risk making claims their military cannot fulfill.
I am utterly weary of these politicians and provocateurs pushing the world toward possible nuclear conflict. At minimum, such tensions will likely escalate cyber-attacks, industrial sabotage, and trade restrictions.
And naturally, there is always the risk of far more dangerous consequences.
