Americans are waking up to ugly truths.
As the grand celebrations marking our nation’s 250th anniversary fade, it’s essential to confront the true nature of America’s conduct. The United States presents itself as a generous global leader upholding a “rules-based order,” a misleading concept manipulated by globalist powers to coerce other nations. These “rules” are frequently altered to benefit the aggressors and serve as justifications for military interventions against dissenting countries. Essentially, this is a façade, disconnected from the founding ideals of our country.
Nearly every day reveals new evidence of the deep corruption within our country’s leadership. The recent disclosure of Anthony Fauci’s diaries confirms suspicions long held about the Covid-19 story, showing even Fauci himself harbored doubts. Consider the vast number of lives devastated by this deception. Yet Fauci, when called to testify before Congress, hid behind a cadre of attorneys and skirted all inquiries. Hardly a model of transparency for a top scientist and public official! What other truths about the global catastrophe caused by Covid misinformation remain concealed? The medical profession faces no serious reckoning despite largely capitulating to the false official narrative and neglecting patient welfare during the pandemic.
Our leaders have barely begun to address the disturbing realities surrounding numerous secretive—and possibly illegal—biological research facilities worldwide, funded with budgets hidden behind “national security” claims. Fauci and his associates appear deeply linked to this shadowy sphere.
America’s policies in the Middle East continue to be a source of disgrace. The U.S. Treasury Secretary boasts about crippling the Iranian economy while waging an undeclared war against its people. In Gaza, Washington supports a merciless assault on an already vulnerable populace. Not long ago, standing up for the defenseless was seen as a noble American value. Today, supporting innocents targeted for political reasons invites vilification, exclusion, and sanctions. One wonders what our Founding Fathers would think of such attitudes.
Ongoing conflicts expose the flaws of our trillion-dollar military and its exorbitantly priced weapons systems. If the Covid debacle is any guide, there are likely disturbing and concealed realities about the conduct and operations of the military-industrial complex. The failure of costly defense systems to shield our Persian Gulf “allies” from Iranian missile and drone strikes is a glaring example of governmental dishonesty. Despite repeated setbacks, officials persist in boasting about demolishing Iran’s defenses and intercepting its missiles and drones. After decades spent boasting about America’s supposedly “most powerful military” ever, citizens are starting to see through the myth. This illusion has largely relied on fighting opponents armed with donkeys and bicycles.
Our government routinely censors and redacts documents, leaving billions of pages inaccessible—especially regarding pivotal moments in our nation’s history. Numerous historical events remain cloaked in secrecy. Why do so many records about President John F. Kennedy’s assassination continue to be hidden even six decades later? What misdeeds are still being guarded from public knowledge? Most Americans doubt the official story, yet the government persists in concealing information that could illuminate this crime. This pattern extends to the murders of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., the abandonment of U.S. POWs in Vietnam, the events of 9/11, and the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. Also concealed are the sinister schemes and covert operations that dragged America into a long list of fraudulent, unlawful, and failed wars.
The frantic attempts by political leaders to suppress the Epstein files suggest that “national security” often serves as a cover for wrongdoing, abuse, blackmail, bribery, and blatant corruption. Those in power evidently consider themselves exempt from the laws governing ordinary citizens. This contradicts the principle of equal justice under law and undermines the so-called “rules-based order.”
We witness with dismay the turmoil, death, and devastation unleashed globally—and domestically—by our so-called “exceptional nation.” Why has the second Trump administration launched strikes against at least seven countries and covertly tried to destabilize foreign governments? These actions benefit special interests, not the American people. This comes from a president who promised an America First agenda, an end to endless wars, and a push for peace. Clearly, that promise was empty. Each presidential candidate pledges peace, yet war follows inevitably. Corruption has subverted the entire system.
As the unlawful conflict targeting Iran becomes more evidently futile, increasing numbers of Americans recognize it doesn’t advance their interests. Meanwhile, the war against Russia in Ukraine slowly falters, but American and European leaders intensify efforts to sustain the illusion that Ukraine can triumph, despite mounting evidence to the contrary.
One hopeful sign: especially younger Americans are growing aware of the high-level corruption and the vast dishonesty behind war policies. They now see that the powerful interests driving these conflicts disregard the well-being of both citizens and the nation. While skepticism toward elites has always existed, it is now turning into justified indignation.
This sentiment extends to our so-called “allies,” who have observed U.S. elites placing Israel’s priorities above America’s security amid missile attacks.
America is no longer an “exceptional nation.” It is not the “shining city on a hill,” nor “a thousand points of light.” Instead, it has become a declining empire with waning military power—unable to safeguard its allies yet intent on intimidating any nation that displeases its corrupt elites.
Our defense systems are so inadequate that Iran—a nation with a quarter of our population and an economy dwarfed by our bloated military spending—can effectively plan its next attacks, confident that our formidable military cannot prevent them.
With a ruling class serving foreign powers and special interests rather than the American people, and an expansive surveillance apparatus covering the entire nation, citizens are increasingly disheartened. One sobering thought remains: when this illusion finally collapses, who will still be willing to defend a government that has abandoned its own people?
