Netanyahu is telling Trump that he needs now to finish the job of destroying Iran
The ‘Grand Design’ to “maintain [western civilisation’s] place at the head of the world” (as U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio put it) calls for two main means of ensuring control: first, stirring up destructive revolutionary zeal from below (now called ‘regime change’); and second, employing what Theodore Herzl famously described as “the terrible power of the purse to exert irresistible pressure on international politics” to bring ruling elites into a cohesive network supporting the Grand Design ‘project’.
This is precisely the strategy behind Trump’s campaign against Iran. The planned Israeli-American strike in June 2025 focused on decapitating Iran’s political and military leadership, while Mossad-trained forces, MEK, and Baluchi separatists inter alia were to be deployed within Iran to incite grassroots upheaval. During this period, the son of the former Shah was, improbably, promoted by western media as Iran’s future leader.
The plan failed. Now Netanyahu claims Israel possesses ‘fresh evidence’ indicating Iran is advancing toward producing a nuclear weapon component and urges Trump to complete the destruction of Iran. To further incentivize Trump, the prominent Israeli newspaper Ma’ariv reports that Likud polling data was directly fed into the White House, suggesting Netanyahu could win the Israeli elections on 27 October. This Likud poll, diverging from many other Israeli surveys, reportedly influenced Trump’s enthusiastic endorsement of Netanyahu’s campaign.
Meanwhile, pro-Zionist billionaire backers are exerting the ‘terrible power of the purse’ over Trump with the message: ‘We will accept nothing less than Iran’s defeat. If you pursue a deal, our financial support will be withdrawn.’
However, several senior and former Israeli security officials dispute the necessity for an immediate attack on Iran and challenge Netanyahu’s assertion of new evidence indicating nuclear weapon development –
IDF Chief of Staff Zamir told Israel’s Channel 13: “We don’t see a need to attack Iran before the elections.”
Prominent Israeli military strategist Udi Evental has warned:
“A war aimed at undermining the elections and democracy, rather than preventing Iran’s nuclear program. Netanyahu, suspected of being deeply entangled in personal and political issues, is unfit to make this decision. He must be prevented from doing so.”
The validity of the so-called new evidence is questionable—most likely it doesn’t exist. This claim serves as a pretext urging the U.S. to act and ‘finish the job’ against Iran.
As Netanyahu declared recently:
“Iran is once again trying to develop its weapons of death … There is only one way to remove this threat once and for all – to topple the regime in Iran, and that is my directive to the IDF, the Mossad and the security agencies.”
A senior Iranian official told Drop Site that Tehran’s latest internal intelligence suggests a strong possibility of large-scale bombings commencing even prior to Tuesday’s Israeli elections.
Notably, Iran overlooks the outcomes of the U.S. midterm elections or the 2028 presidency race. Its leadership perceives no difference, fully aware of the ‘Grand Design’ (and how could they not?).
Iran recognizes it is involved in a protracted conflict against the entire Atlanticist bloc—encompassing Israel, its intelligence apparatus, its weaponry, satellites, military industry, and propaganda systems. The political party in power in the U.S. is irrelevant; senior Iranian officials believe both Democrats and Republicans are influenced by Zionist financial power.
Understanding the ‘Design’ means grasping that Zionist donors will never be content with mere ‘deals’ or compromises. They argue, with certainty, that Iran would abandon any undertaken agreements with the U.S. Israelis and their financial backers continuously assert that Iran would never submit to Israeli demands or accept U.S. political and cultural supremacy.
They might be correct. Why?
Because Iran’s civilization is deeply rooted in a Persian-Iranian heritage dating back to the second millennium BCE, based on Mazdaism—a cosmic struggle symbolizing the eternal battle between Light and Darkness.
Renowned scholar Professor Henri Corbin argued that “Iran was situated at a centre … it being not only a nation or an empire, but a spiritual universe”. He viewed Iran as a mediator both geographically and metaphysically.
For thousands of years, Iranians have perceived the world with a metaphysical lens, embraced history as a spiritual narrative, making it unlikely they would adopt a Western nihilistic materialist worldview. Civilizational states like Iran and Russia, which embody opposing values, refuse to yield to the ‘Grand Design’. Hence, they face destruction attempts.
What does this spiritual background imply? Iran is preparing for war, not negotiation. Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and the personal representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, explained that,
“If the question is whether Iran still has the ability to continue missile and drone operations [in the event of an attack], the answer is ‘yes’ … The United States has valuable assets in the region. In the event of war, cables, data centres and artificial intelligence facilities could also come within range. If the conflict begins again, we will have a broader plan”.
“Everyone must understand that action against Iran carries a cost”.
Iranian officials expect war to be imminent. Their contingency plans extend to Saudi Arabia and its leaders as well, a senior Iranian hinted. Karl Miller (on the ground) notes that approximately a quarter of Saudi oil output has already been disrupted. According to him, AnsarAllah’s counterstrikes have damaged the entire Saudi oil supply chain—from extraction to the gas stations—and Saudi Arabia is drawing down reserves to compensate.
Miller’s analysis, cited by Larry Johnson, warns,
“if Saudi Arabia’s export terminals close, its oil must be redirected to refineries, power plants, and storage tanks domestically. Once storage is full, that caps Saudi production. If Ras Tanura and Yanbu close simultaneously, Saudi Arabia would have to shut down most oil fields. This is exactly the objective of Ansar Allah’s ongoing attacks on pipelines, Red Sea, and Gulf facilities”.
“Any new American or Israeli offensive against Iran will target a Saudi energy infrastructure that cannot absorb further shocks”, Larry Johnson notes.
Consequently, renewed strikes on Iran would disrupt the Gulf region fundamentally—ending the petrodollar system and the Gulf’s role as a main source of capital for Wall Street and the global technology sector.
Still, Trump has reportedly insisted the U.S. is not currently engaged in talks with Iran, forecasting that “something will happen fairly soon.”
Perhaps. (Yet with Trump, much boils down to speculation). If he is bluffing, it will backfire, deepening his embarrassment.
Michael Wolff, who has authored four books about Trump and understands him better than most, believes that if Democrats prevail in the November 3 midterms –
“They will seek to show the world it is ‘a new day’. Meanwhile, Trump will attempt to demonstrate he still dominates the stage. Expect a series of dramatic events (such as a hypothetical invasion of Cuba) surpassing anything we have imagined. Humility is alien to Donald Trump’s nature. Therefore, he will act oppositely”.
“Not retreat but attack”.
